Seattle

If the movie Singles and two dudes tossing a salmon to one other are the two things that come to mind when you hear "Seattle," a visit is a bit overdue. Trust on this, Seattle has got as much (even more?) culinary cred as its much-hyped sister city, Portland, to the south. It's home to one of the best oyster bars on the planet, a restaurant that serves an addictive Caesar salad sandwich until 2 a.m., and a lunch-only Italian joint where people line up, justifiably, for the best Bolognese this side of Rome. Yep, it still rains often, but that's where all the other stereotypes end.
